Useful contact numbers at sea
Don't forget to save all the useful numbers before heading out to sea.
If you are in danger:
Call the emergency services using channel 16 of your VHF radio. If this is not possible, you can dial 196 from your mobile phone (for France). At sea, channel 16 on a VHF radio remains the best way of calling for help as the emergency services can locate you quickly.
If you need assistance:
APRIL Marine Assistance is on hand 24/7 by telephone:
- on +332 49 98 85 18
- If you are signed up to the APRIL Marine Assistance service, contact us before committing to any expenditure (if you have taken out cover).
